![]() ![]() Why is it most people have never heard such things? This is the book that pastors, educators, and anyone interested in the Bible have been waiting for-a clear and compelling account of the central challenges we face when attempting to reconstruct the life and message of Jesus. As Ehrman skillfully demonstrates, they have been the standard and widespread views of critical scholars across a full spectrum of denominations and traditions. These are not idiosyncratic perspectives of just one modern scholar. Established Christian doctrines-such as the suffering messiah, the divinity of Jesus, and the trinity-were the inventions of still later theologians.Jesus, Paul, Matthew, and John all represented fundamentally different religions. The New Testament contains books that were forged in the names of the apostles by Christian writers who lived decades later. The authors of the New Testament have diverging views about who Jesus was and how salvation works Jesus Interrupted Revealing The Hidden Contradictions In The Bible And Why We Don’t Know About Them Bart D. ![]() ![]() Here Ehrman reveals what scholars have unearthed: ![]() Picking up where Bible expert Bart Ehrman's New York Times bestseller Misquoting Jesus left off, Jesus, Interrupted addresses the larger issue of what the New Testament actually teaches-and it's not what most people think. ![]()

Echolands, Vol. 1 by J.H. Williams III6/10/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() So it really didn’t bother me that after a brief introductory page written in portentous illustrated prose, Echolands #1 kicks off in media res, with Williams and Blackman spending little time orienting readers to the strange fantasy world they’ve created. As much as I love the DC Comics he’s drawn, the promise of Williams co-writing an original story so he could draw pretty much whatever the hell he wants is immensely appealing as it is. Williams III” was all I needed to get sold on Echolands. No disrespect to Blackman, or Williams’ own writing skills for that matter, but “creator-owned comic by J.H. That Williams can be so dynamic in his compositions without sacrificing the discrete allure of each individual panel is rare among comic book artists, made all the more impressive by the way his style can shift from page to page, and in some cases, among multiple panels on the same page. His work is lovingly detailed, richly textured, and flows beautifully from panel to panel. I’ve said this elsewhere, but you don’t need to know the first thing about comics to recognize Williams’ immense talent. Williams III is one of the most impressive comic book artists working today, even if (and perhaps, in part, because) his output is relatively scarce. ![]()
